Spent 4 years in USAF, another 6 in US Navy as a submarine sonar technician. AS degree in Electronics Engineering Technology, then 15 years on seismic survey boats doing offshore oil exploration surveys. Married Suzy in 2007 and changed careers to installing and servicing medical imaging contrast injectors for MRI, CT Scan, and Cardiac Cath Labs. We have five grandchildren who all live in the Jacksonville FL area.

As an electronics technician on seismic survey vessels working my way up to source boat supervisor, I had the opportunity to travel to Brazil, Peru, Colombia, through the Panama Canal, Trinidad, Mauritania, Senegal, Nigeria, South Africa, Canary Islands, Egypt, England, Scotland, Australia, Faroe Islands, and Falkland Islands.

After spending 3 years on the road servicing medical equipment and wanting to spend more time with our grandchildren, we decided to sell our home in SC and move to FL. Fortunately I was able to obtain an engineering technologist position at Sparton Electronics in Deleon Springs working with Engineers in the Test Engineering Department for the production of sonobuoys used by the Navy.

Since 2016, we haved lived in Daytona Beach, and plan on retiring in Florida in a few years. Our children, grandchildren, and Suzy's siblings all live within a couple of hours of us. It's great to see more of the family now that we are no longer in South Carolina......and we only live four miles from the beach!!

Hello Bill. I was just checking on who at BHS were veterans and see that you were USAF. If you dont mind me asking, which bases were you stationed? I got a low draft number in 1971, enlisted in USAF and was stationed at Bergstrom AFB and Elmendorf AFB

Hello Jim. I knew you at Johnston and Bellaire. After looking up BHS veterans, I saw that you were in the Navy. May I ask where you were stationed? I was a submarine sonar technician making 9 patrols on the USS Casimir Pulaski SSBN 633 out of Kings Bay GA

Hello Lamar. I was looking up BHS veterans and saw that you were once in the USAF reserve. I did 4 years in the USAF at Bergstrom and Elmendorf after getting a low draft number in 1971, then as prior service joined the Navy and became a Submarine Sonar Tech making 10 patrols on the USS Casimir Pulaski SSBN 633 out of Kings Bay GA. If you dont mind, could you tell me which USAF bases you were stationed?
