l had many a good time with Pug playing bumper pool at his home-straight West down Grape from the corner of Rice.
Also he was my team mate in Westbury pony league play. I have a ball that was presented to our coach (my dad) with his signature on it. I took a picture of it and texted it to Pug and he called me and we had some big laughs.
One day he called me and asked if I wished to go to Galveston and fly back to Houston in the Hughes Tool DC-3 that couldn't get back to its regular parking spot due to fog. I jumped at the opportunity. His father was a corporate pilot for the Howard Hughes operation.
I talked to Pug at the 45th and was hopeful about visiting with him at the 50th which was unfortunately postponed.
He was a great guy and he will be missed. My sympathies to all the family and everyone who knew him.
