John D. Zufall, age 55, passed away Thursday, November 19, 2008, in Tallahassee. He was born in Monroe, La., on Dec. 14, 1952. He moved to Tallahassee in 1978 from Houston, Texas. Mr. Zufall was a graduate of Texas Tech University and worked for the IRS for many years. He was preceded in death by his parents, Emilo J. and Evelyn (Werner) Zufall. John is survived by his sister, Patricia A. (John) Martin of McAllen, Texas. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association . Final arrangements were handled by Culley's MeadowWood Funeral Home –Riggins Road Chapel (850-877-8191).

John was a great guy and great friend. We lived on the same street, and talked often about numerous topics. We lost touch after high school, so it was interesting to find out where he had been living and what he had been doing--just sorry that it had to be through his obituary.
