Curtis was a neighbor and for a while the only guy in a girls carpool. What a brave guy! I think I remember that he had cleaned himself up and was practicing law here in Austin. I am very sad to hear of his passing. Gone too soon.
Just saw this one and it's hard to digest. I always thought he was one of the true bright personalities of the school. Laid-back, carefree, and contagiously fun and happy. I .... just don't know what to say.
Curtis had asked our kids and me not to have a service or write an obituary. He passed away October 23rd 2013 of heart failure. He did say if later we wanted to have a party, we could. He did like to party.

Malfunction in the middle of my note. Curtis was the first person I ever saw reading The Hobbit back before anyone heard of Tolkein, etc.
