Chuck and I were in the same class in 5th grade. We were wise enough even back then to realize that having two "Charles Green's" was going to be a problem since we would be going to the same Junior High and High School. He suggested that he would like to go by Chuck. What a great guy, even back then! He will be missed!

I went all through school with Chuck.  Longfellow elementary, Pershing jr. High, and Bellaire high school.  He was a super nice guy!  Sorry to hear of his passing.  Jane Mcgee Walla

I remember Chuck's unflagging, happy energy, his sense of humor and laugh and the mischievous twinkle in his eyes.  I haven't seen him in decades but it is nice to see that he had a good life and I'm sure he will be well missed.

When I first read about Chuck's passing, I was shocked and could not address it at the time. I have known Chuck since elementary school, through Bellaire, and at UT-Austin. I last saw him at the reunion at the Houstonian (I cannot recall which year). Through all that time, Chuck was always the same. Full of life, crazy sense of humor, speaking a mile-a-minute, and always upbeat.

My heart-felt condolences to Pat and their children, to Shelley and Lauren, and their extended family. Chuck was one in a million and I am blessed to have counted him as my friend.

I first met Chuck at Bellaire HS. We were in several classes together. I had opportunities throughout the years to catch up with Chuck at some our reunions and a few dinners with our mutual friends. He was a genuine individual  who never met a stranger. Always in an upbeat mood and friendly to everyone. I know he'll be missed by many.

Chuck was a great guy to know I met him in high school never had a bad word to say about anyone. I'd see him on the bus coming back from the Astros games always friendly. I met his dad one time he helped me with a problem at the hospital very nice family I will miss his friendly face.
